How to Save and Crop Your Horizontal Listing Photos to Your Phone

Let’s make your life more convenient by showing you how to download individual listing photos from your shoot with us to your phone so you can share them on social media. We’ll also walk you through how to crop your horizontal images into a vertical format, which is the preferred crop orientation for most social media platforms and features. (iPhone and Android directions included.)

First things first, regardless of the type of phone you use, you will need to:

Login to your JMC Visuals account - if you forgot your password, you can request to reset it via this same link

  1. Once logged you will be in your Dashboard, click on the ‘Download the Photos’ button of the listing you want to download photos from

  2. Accept the Copyright license agreement

  3. Scroll down to the ‘Download Individual Photos’ section

  4. Under the photos, you want to download, click on the MLS Size link the following these next steps based on the type of phone you have…


Android

Once you’ve hit the MLS Size link, the photos will automatically save to your phone’s photo gallery app.

To edit the horizontal photo to a vertical photo you will:

  1. Go to the photo gallery app

  2. Select one of the images you downloaded

  3. Click the edit button (pencil icon)

  4. Click on the ‘Free’ form crop button

  5. Select the vertical crop icon and below this icon select the 9:16 crop orientation

  6. Move the image to how you’d like the crop to be in its new vertical crop

  7. Click ‘Save’ in the upper right corner and it will save the newly cropped image back to your photo gallery app


iPhone

Once you’ve hit the MLS Size link, the photos will be saved to your Downloads folder and you will then need to save them to your photos app. To find your Downloads folder:

  1. Go to your home screen and from the top of your phone, swipe down to pull up your phone’s search bar

  2. Type “Downloads folder” in the search field and then select the folder

  3. Once inside the Download folder, click the Recents button in the bottom left so your freshly downloaded images are at the top

  4. Click on the image and then click on the Upload icon (upward point arrow) and in the next screen, select Save Image (downward pointing arrow)

To edit the horizontal photo to a vertical photo you will:

  1. Go to the photos app

  2. Select one of the images you downloaded

  3. Click the edit button (upper right)

  4. Click the crop icon (bottom right - a square with two arrows circling it)

  5. Select the crop orientation icon (upper right - different sized squares and rectangles within each other)

  6. Select 16:9 size, and then click on the vertical crop icon above it, which changes the ratio of the crop to 9:16

  7. Move the image to how you’d like the crop to be in its new vertical crop

  8. Click Done it will save the newly cropped image back to your photos app
