Photo Shoot Policy

Our Photo Shoot Day Policies are designed to ensure a smooth workflow, respect everyone’s time, and deliver the highest-quality imagery possible. Below you’ll find our established guidelines. Please review these policies prior to your scheduled shoot so we can provide a seamless and professional experience. Booking a session constitutes acceptance of all policies.
Booking & Confirmation
• All photo shoots must be scheduled in advance via our website, phone, text, or email.
• A shoot is confirmed only after written confirmation (email or text). Confirmation emails are sent out once the booking is confirmed and 48-hours before your appointment.
• Same-day bookings are subject to availability and may include a rush fee.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
• 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or reschedules.
• Cancellations less than 48 hours before the shoot may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
• Same-day cancellations or no-shows are billed 100% of the session fee.
• Weather-related reschedules (exterior-only concerns) are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Weather Considerations
• Outdoor or natural-light photography may be affected by rain, fog, or low light.
• If the weather on the day of the shoot impacts our ability to complete a service, we may offer the option to reschedule to a mutually agreed-upon date and time at no extra charge.
• If you choose to proceed, we will photograph to the best of our ability, with your understanding that the conditions may affect image quality.
Property Rediness
• The property must be fully ready at the scheduled start time, including cleaning, staging, landscaping, functioning lights, secured pets, and access provided (lockbox, code, or on-site contact).
• If the property is not ready:
We may wait up to 15 minutes and then leave, or
Photograph the property as-is at the client’s request.
• Waiting time, return trips, or reshoots due to readiness will incur additional fees.
People, Pets & Scheduled On Site Time
• To ensure an efficient shoot, on-time subsequent appointment arrivals, and timely next-day delivery for all clients, we ask that only the Realtor and the JMCV Photography Team be on site during the photo shoot.
• Presence of the Seller, Vendors, and other Realtors slows the shoot time process, affects the quality of your images, and delays our schedule for subsequent appointments.*
*NOTE: The estimated on site time for us to complete your shoot is listed in your appointment confirmation emails.
Photographer Substitutions
• In rare cases of illness or emergency, a qualified substitute photographer may complete the shoot.
• Substitutes are selected to maintain our standard of professionalism and quality.
No-Shows
• If no one is present at the scheduled time and no prior notice is given, the session is a no-show, and full payment is due.
• Lockbox access is strongly recommended for vacant properties.
Scope of Work
• Only services booked in advance are included in your scheduled appointment time. Additional on-site requests (media of extra spaces, services, post-process enhancements, etc.) are subject to availability and will be added to your bill upon media delivery.
• Creative decisions regarding angles, lighting, and editing are at the photographer’s discretion unless specific requests are made prior to or at the photo shoot. Some requests may take longer than our standard turnaround time to complete.
Turnaround Time & Delivery
• Standard delivery is the next business morning after your shoot, by 10 AM.* This includes Twilight shoots. Friday shoots will be delivered on Saturday morning by 10 AM.
• Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee. Please inquire to set this up.
• Delivery may be affected by any delays that occur during your shoot.
*NOTE: Video services (including listing videos and social media videos) sometimes take longer to process and may need to be delivered after 10 AM the next day. We will notify you of any delays.
Payment Terms
• Payment is due in full for the completed services and provided media upon delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Late or unpaid invoices may result in late-payment fees or suspension of future bookings.
